Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević attended today as celebration of marking the beginning of the professional advancement of 13th Class of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in the amphitheatre of the National Defence School “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” in Belgrade.
Minister Vučević recommended to the attenders to take that unique opportunity in life and professional career, since that was not something that happened every day or was implied.
- It is a privilege to have an opportunity to hear and learn something new, to advance yourself, meet experienced professionals, experts, and to be taught by people with remarkable level of knowledge and personal dignity, and to have the opportunity to visit may institutions and establishments both in the country and abroad, and to do it not only for your personal benefit, but for the benefit of the country you come from, regardless of the system - said Minister Vučević adding that the geopolitical situation becomes increasingly complex.
According to him, no one can say where and how 2024 will lead us, or what will happen.
- When you consider the light motive of the current gathering in Davos, and see that the world is entering a dark period, it is clear to you what, where and how the things will unfold. The situation in the region is challenging for us in Serbia as well, and quite difficult especially regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. Speaking from both political and security point of view, the situation is very difficult which requires from all of us who are engaged and honoured to be a part of the defence system of our fatherland, to be most careful and highly dedicated to the things we do - Minister Vučević stated.
Addressing the attenders of 13th class, the minister of defence said that they all together made one mosaic, which represented a unique picture of security and defence of our state.
-Without that mosaic, and without that picture, other state systems cannot function or they cannot function well enough. This makes your responsibility even greater and more significant. I hope and believe that you are aware of that and that you perceive all those circumstances well. I wish you success in mastering the learning content, and there is no shame in learning something new, regardless of your title and profession, regardless of your work and life experience. There is always something new that you can hear, learn, and you can always advance your capabilities and skills, to upgrade your personal knowledge, and thus improve the quality of our state, Serbia. I am confident that you will be worthy of this both personal and professional challenge, and the honour bestowed on you to be here - the minister of defence stressed.
Minister Vučević greeted the attenders from other institutions of Serbia, representatives of the Republika Srpska, and members of armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary.
